Chiswick House Wedding Showcase June 20, 2017 11:31
We were delighted to take part in the inaugural Chiswick House Wedding Showcase back in April. Chiswick House is beautiful; from the buildings, the grounds, to the Italianate gardens...there is beauty everywhere! A wedding venue that is sure to wow your guests, as well as provide beautiful backdrops for your wedding photographs.
The wedding showcase took part across Burlington Pavilion, and within Chiswick House. Alongside luxury bespoke tailors Clements & Church we showcased our wedding stationery in the Red Room, to the left of the Domed Saloon where wedding ceremonies take place. The red room is beautiful and ornate and adjacent to the luxurious Blue Velvet Room, where couples sign the register after the ceremony.
As well as many great suppliers exhibiting, (more details below), there was also live entertainment, talks and demos, delicious canapés by Food Show Ltd to treat guests and various styled tables by All for Love London with Couvert showcasing different trends, which were all so pretty. We provided stationery for the ‘Pink Glam’ table, which was pinks, whites, and finished with Maitre Choux eclairs!

Claridge's : A Luxury Wedding Venue in London March 08, 2017 12:24
Claridge’s is the epitome of luxury, timeless elegance and style. With its iconic modern Art Deco interior, it has been not only a favourite home from home to royalty, Hollywood stars and celebrities for decades, but also a top London wedding venue in the heart of Mayfair.
Whether you choose Claridge’s as your wedding venue for an intimate wedding of 20 guests, or a large celebration with 240, your special day will certainly be one to remember. From choosing your own exquisite wedding menu developed by award-winning executive chef Martyn Nail using the finest ingredients, to your first dance choreography with Claridge’s first-ever choreographer-in-residence Marius Caluser, Claridge’s will be there every step of the way.
There are many spaces to choose from for your special day, and we will be starting in the grand Ballroom, my favourite room of all...
With its own dedicated entrance on Brook Street, your guests will firstly make their way to the Claridge's Ballroom Reception. This area would be ideal for an escort card table for your guests, or your table plan. They would then follow on to the Ballroom, with its beautiful hand engraved mirrors, Platinum leaf covered pillars and Art Deco fan design carpet. Designed by Guy Oliver, the room links back to original 1920’s decor, and offers the epitome of Art Deco style.
The English Heritage listed Ballroom can accommodate up to 240 guests, and your personal events manager and dedicated events team will be on hand to ensure your vision comes to life with the upmost quality and care. From a styling perspective, there are many possibilities for a Claridge’s Ballroom wedding, and the space allows many colour themes to work without being overwhelmed, whether it’s classic white, light colours such as blush pinks, or bold colours such as navy.
The drawing room is a beautifully proportioned space and full of natural daylight perfect for your wedding photography. With beautiful coving details, an original marble mantelpiece, two open fireplaces, and Art Deco iron work tassels, the Claridge’s Drawing Room has a truly 18th century classical style. This room can also be linked to the French Salon to form a larger space for entertaining.
Whether used in conjunction with The Drawing Room or on its own for a more intimate wedding celebration, the Claridge's French Salon is another room with original Art Deco features. Featuring winged Renaissance-style cherubs above the doors, the room also features a striking mural of a dancing couple, discovered when the room was being refurbished. The original marble mantelpiece could be styled beautifully on your special day.
For larger celebrations, the French Salon can be used for your drinks reception. Your guests can enjoy the ambience of the French Salon whilst enjoying canapés and cocktails, before heading next door to The Drawing Room to continue with your wedding breakfast. This area would be perfect to display your table plan or escort cards.
The wooden decoration within this room will provide a beautiful backdrop to any colour theme, with the gold detailing adding a chic touch.
The sixth floor gives the choice of four smaller rooms, perfect for intimate weddings; The Clarence, The Boardroom, The Kensington Room, and St James Room. The Clarence is an elegant space served by its own reception area and cloakroom, and can accommodate up to 50 guests. The adjoining St James room can be used as a breakout area. With stunning views over London, The Clarence is perfect for couples looking for a stylish, spacious and airy space for an intimate wedding.
Other aspects of your wedding day such as your wedding photographer, cake designer, florist and wedding invitations and stationery can all be recommended to you by the dedicated events team, ensuring you have assistance with any part of your day.
I hope you enjoyed our wedding venue showcase all about Claridge’s! If you would like to enquire about weddings at Claridge’s, please call +44 (0)20 7409 6500 or email email@example.com to contact the events team.
Brides the Show 2016 October 11, 2016 08:48
We recently exhibited for the second time at Brides the Show and what a show it was! It was fantastic to once again meet lots of lovely brides and talk to them about their wedding plans and stationery, whether they were with their fiancé, friends or family.
This year we wanted our wedding stationery to shine the most on our stand with a clean and simple look. Our white and gold stand details ensure this was achieved.
Our stars of the show (below L-R):
- Have you ever imagined what your venue and tables could look like on your special day? Our mockup table complete with sequin tablecloth, rose gold cutlery and items from our ‘Anthi’ wedding stationery collection helped many brides visualise!
- Our ‘Anthi’ wedding stationery collection which comes in 5 style variations was the most popular wedding invitation style with our brides – the combinations of romantic flowers and beautiful script fonts are definitely winners! With colour changes included, there are so many possibilities to have to suit your theme, and this is what brides loved too.
Our glitter lined envelope as part of a bespoke commission we worked on had lots of attention! The light pink and champagne gold glitter is a truly gorgeous combination... We love being able to offer glitter lined envelopes across any of our invitations as they can really add to the overall look of your wedding stationery.
We were also delighted our 'Dorchester' wedding stationery was part of the show Look Book Live in the ‘Blue’ section.
As part of our table mockup, we were delighted to work with Samina at Mon Dessert to create macaron favours to match our ‘Anthi’ wedding stationery...wrapped in cello bags with a matching favour tag, they were adorable! Many of our designs can be adapted for macarons, making it a lovely extra detail for your day to match your stationery. Watch this space...
We were so excited to launch our exclusive new collaboration with Lost Heritage at the show with three gorgeous letterpress invitation sets. Our ‘Skyline’ wedding stationery collection has been adapted specifically for letterpress with a simple modern skyline in gold foil (so pretty!). Our bespoke skyline service also means you could have any skyline, and printed in any foil colour such as rose gold or silver to suit your theme perfectly. Our pattern (based on our Geo : Paris wedding stationery) and floral designs were also loved among our brides.
As well as meeting lots of brides, it’s always nice to be an exhibitor as you get to see industry friends and make new ones. It was fab being neighbours with Georgia’s Cakes (below left) and Potcakes this year, and it was lovely to see Grandirosa (below right) and Rellini Art Studio (centre) (our neighbours from last year!)
Other exhibitors we loved included Sari Cakes (below left), who we finally got to meet at the show, The Source Inspires (centre) who we are a part of in their Rising Star section, and Bluebell Kitchen (below right) who we were also excited to finally meet!
Overall it was a great show - we had lots of fun and I look forward to working with brides on their wedding stationery. A special thank you also goes to my beautiful sister Christa for helping out (I couldn’t have done it without her!)
Wishing you a lovely day,
Wedding Bouquet Ideas June 06, 2016 11:10
Have you thought about your wedding bouquet yet? Todays blog post is all about wedding bouquet ideas, for different themes... let's begin!
BRIGHT & BEAUTIFUL
Perfect for fun and informal weddings, mix and match your colours and flowers for a beautiful bouquet. A contrasting ribbon will also add a lovely touch.
. . .
PRETTY IN PINK
Shades of one colour, such as pinks will add variety to your wedding bouquet, and look super pretty!
. . .
CLASSIC & ELEGANT
If your wedding theme is a subtle one, for example, subtle pinks or creams, then this can still be reflected into your wedding bouquet in an elegant way. This can be achieved either with a few subtle shades together, with a variety of flowers, or with one flower mixed with foliage (such as the middle picture).
. . .
If you have one colour (we have used purple as an example) as your wedding colour theme, this can be easily incorporated into your wedding bouquet. Mix and match with neutral colours or similar colours for variety whilst still keeping to your main colour.

New 'Anthi' wedding stationery styles April 04, 2016 13:47
We are delighted to showcase four new styles in our ‘Anthi’ wedding stationery studio collection. The four new styles all have different looks, fitting into many wedding themes.
Anthi : Blossom
Romantic and feminine in gorgeous pinks and creams. When thinking about venue styling, this style in particular would look lovely with gold or rose gold details, and even sparkle, such as gold sequin table covers. View our gold wedding inspiration Pinterest board for more inspiration.
Below are a few examples of different text colours. See the full Anthi : Marble wedding stationery collection.

Anthi : Marble
A modern and versatile look, this style incorporates grey florals in a subtle way with the emphasis on the text colours in your colour theme. All colour combinations would complement this style. Below are a few examples of different colours. See the full Anthi : Marble wedding stationery collection.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Anthi : Serene
Subtle flower details, full colour background and white text – the ultimate chic combination! Working best with pastel colour themes, this style is also possible in darker tones to fit any colour theme. Below are a few examples of different colours. See the full Anthi : Serene wedding stationery collection.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Anthi : Jewel
This style makes a bold statement with majestic jewel tones. If your colour theme incorporates purple, navy, dark pinks or even black, Anthi : Jewel wedding stationery will have the ‘wow’ factor.
Below are a few examples of different text colours. See the full Anthi : Jewel wedding stationery collection.

All Anthi wedding invitations and rsvps are supplied with matching envelopes, however, if coloured envelopes would reflect your style they can be sourced to match your theme.
Bespoke lined envelopes are also available – this could be a bespoke design, a block colour, or even a glitter lined envelope for sparkle. There are many possibilities – please do get in touch to discuss your requirements. Below is an example of a pink envelope lined with champagne glitter...gorgeous!
Coloured envelopes and lined envelopes will be quoted based on requirements.

Wedding Favour Ideas March 02, 2016 10:30
Wedding favours are given as a way of saying thank you to your guests for attending your special day. Whilst they are not a necessity, there are many wedding favour ideas that will suit any theme and budget. They could be edible favours, ones that guests can use or simply keepsakes that will remind them of your day.
Whichever style you choose, keep them within your wedding theme with the packaging: boxes in your colours, ribbons to match in a beautiful bow, or maybe a sticker or wedding favour tag which matches your wedding stationery.
Below are wedding favour ideas in three categories: wedding favours you can eat, ones you can drink / use, and wedding favour keepsakes.
Edible wedding favour ideas

These edible wedding favour ideas offer something different: a love knot made of marshmallow looks so pretty and something your guests will adore. Doughnuts are a quirky and fun idea, and they could be in your favourite flavours or a mix! A heart cookie wedding favour personalised with your details is both modern and traditional.

How gorgeous are these champagne favours? Small bottles, with a personalised sticker and beautiful bow make this such a special wedding favour idea. If you are more of a tea drinker than champagne, how about a lovely tea blend for your guests? The packaging in clear bottles and tags make these wedding favours gorgeous too. Another idea could be depending on your wedding location. If you were having a destination wedding, why not offer your guests something from the region? These homemade limoncello bottles, for example, would be perfect for an Italian wedding.

If you would prefer to give your guests something that they can keep and re-use, these wedding favour ideas will inspire you! A little soap (why not adapt this to a scent or flower used at your wedding?) and dish is pretty. A plant such as succulents can be taken care of after your wedding, and luggage tags are a chic example of a gift that can be used time and time again. Your guests can be reminded of your wedding each time they travel!

Bridal Hairstyles February 02, 2016 10:51
Todays blog post is all about Bridal Hairstyles... and there are so many to choose from!
Ultimately, the style you choose should reflect your style and make you feel beautiful. The time of year and your style of dress will also influence the style you go for. Today we are looking at four different styles of bridal hairstyles...
1: Up-do with decorative elements
Flowers or hair jewellery will certainly add a 'wow' factor to your bridal hairstyle. Use real flowers for a a romantic and more rustic touch, or a decorative hairpiece that will reflect your style and theme.
2: Loose and flowing
If you have long hair, having it loose and styled will look glamorous and feminine. You could also have the best of both worlds and style it loose for the day and then up for the evening.
A simple bun will look chic, and especially suit if your dress has back details... These various takes on the classic 'bun' add a different element to this bridal hairstyle, and we love them all!
This bridal hairstyle is perfect if you are wanting to have your hair partly styled up and also like the idea of having it loose. It may also be a better option than a loose hairstyle in the summer months when it may be hot!
More inspiration can also be found on our Bridal Hairstyles Pinterest board - enjoy!
Autumn Wedding Theme Inspiration November 10, 2015 18:01
If you're planning an Autumn wedding, here are a few ideas to think about! Sparklers will make a pretty backdrop to your night time pictures, (and can be applied to a wedding any time of year!). Pumpkins can also make a lovely way of presenting your escort cards.
Many of these ideas can be applied to weddings any time of year too - for example, the style of bridesmaid dress or type of bouquet... I hope you are inspired!

Brides the Show 2015 October 23, 2015 12:37
We were so excited to exhibit at Brides the Show; it is a show full of inspiration, beauty and amazing suppliers within the wedding industry. If you are getting married, it is the show to attend.
With so much design and inspiration under one roof, I wanted our stand to reflect this, whilst keeping to our brand and values. White netting formed the backdrop to our stationery, which was pretty, a subtle detail and not too distracting. The stationery was displayed on gold shelf displays, which added a luxe element and reflected our brand colours; gold, white, grey and pink.
With setup complete, it was time to reflect on it all and the stand turned out exactly how I envisioned it and the planning and preparation paid off! The stand was chic, elegant and clean with luxe details. It reflected our wedding stationery and brand perfectly.
The Friday preview evening was full of brides who had headed straight over from work. The champagne was flowing and everyone was excited to be there at the start of the weekend looking for wedding inspiration.
Saturday and Sunday were brimming with brides too; with their fiancés, mums and friends all excited to start making plans and get ideas for their special day! Our Anthi, Skyline and Bella collections proved to the most popular, as well as our bespoke design service. Many also liked Dorchester and Aphrodite (popular among those having a destination wedding!).
We will soon be offering a bespoke service to our ‘Skyline’ collection, allowing couples to choose what they would like as their skyline; a city, a blend of two cities, or their venue...there are many possibilities. More information will be given soon, but if you would like more information please do get in touch.
In general, we had so many enquiries, lots of interest and I was thrilled with the positive response and feedback. Meeting lots of suppliers within the industry was great such as Ela from bochic wedding blog, as well as wedding planners who I hope to work with in the future. These included Nina from Big Day in a Box, Sarah from Confetti & Cocktails and Lucie from Loved by Lucie
(Above pic: Lucie from Loved by Lucie, and Ela from BoChic)
We were also so thankful to have such lovely neighbours, Grandirosa and Bubblegum balloons (both are amazing, make sure you check them out!)
Grandirosa had a gorgeous stand, reflecting their style and service perfectly. The array of flowers and colours were beautiful - we could smell the flowers on our stand! Their flowers and quality standard are the best in the business. The friendly and lovely Mary and Lil were a joy to be next to, and would be great to work with on your wedding.
Bubblegum balloons, our other lovely neighbours showcased their oh-so-pretty balloons – their products are sure to add a fun, unique and stylish element to your wedding.
Other exhibitors I loved included Victoria Made cakes, My Eden, Freya Rose, By Appointment Only Design, Charlotte Simpson, One Stone Events, and Rellini Studio. Below are a few pics of the show and exhibitors... enjoy!
(Above pic L-R: Bubblegum Balloons, One Stone Events, By Appointment Only Design, Victoria Made, Grandirosa, Charlotte Simpson)
Sunday afternoon arrived and it was all over! The days had flown by, and we were overwhelmed by the response from everyone. We were tired but full of excitement from a great exhibition and for the future. Thank you to Brides the Show for putting on a great show.
Did you visit the show? What did you think? Let us know below...it would be great to hear your comments. If you didn't, here are a few pics from the show too!

New York, New York! June 25, 2015 12:41
As a very special birthday present, I was whisked away to New York a few weeks ago. New York is a city I adore...amazing views everywhere you look, the hustle and bustle, the buildings. Just being in the city fills me with joy! Here are a few pics:
A few places I recommend are Carlo’s bakery for amazing pastries and desserts (the strawberry cheesecake especially!), Top of the Rock for great views of the city, and an evening boat cruise to see the sights from a different point of view.
Whilst in New York, my mind wandered of course to New York weddings...where it could take place, when the best time of year would be, the photo opportunities! If you’re thinking of getting married in New York, we’ve made a head start for you and chosen five lovely New York wedding venues worth having a look at, each with a different style:
As with all destination weddings, the logistics will need to be organised well in advance. For New York weddings, you will need to obtain a marriage license. More information can be found here.
A few other things to consider are the time of year and transportation. A winter wedding may seem idyllic in the UK, but in New York the winter months can be very harsh with heavy snow and snowstorms. Summers can be sweltering with high humidity, so it is probably best to avoid the peak summer and winter months.
New York is also a very busy place! If you can, choose your wedding venue with hotels in close proximity...this will avoid your guests having to rely on taxis and subway. Alternatively, you could consider hiring a party bus for all your guests.
The below websites also have plenty of information and inspiration for your day:
Whether getting married in the big apple or not, however, a New York wedding theme is a popular one. Maybe it’s the place you were engaged, where you met or indeed it’s simply a city special to you both. Our New York wedding invitations have a modern and chic design, with a skyline featuring iconic landmarks and a Manhattan map illustration background. Within the skyline, up to eight landmarks of your choice can be included making your wedding stationery truly personal to you both. Colours can also be changed to suit your theme.
Until next time New York...
